Rolled down the beach Friday evening to meet up with Skipjack and
his bro for some BTB action. I got down first and ended up coming across
Crazy Yak and Fishnv already camped and out in the yaks. They get back in
right before dark and convinced me to just camp there. I did, ran out shark
baits for the night.. and waited. Skipjack and dad/bro show up and they get
geared up. Morning comes with rain and a couple squalls. One of 3 Jacks are
hit by something, but other than that no action.

We get geared up after the weather cleared and fight our way through
the breakers. Lots of birds offshore. Immediately the King bite is on. Crazy
Yak is hooked up on a morning King...

Not long and Skippy gets hooked up on some topwater action.

I get one King to the yak but lose him and he takes my lure. I am
furious so I put a ribbonfish out and get hooked up instantly.

Bob soon gets hooked up as well.

I continue to tear into the Kings via Ribbonfish

After hammering and releasing 5 Kings pretty quick, I hook a pain in the
ass Jackfish.

I get one more King before my Ribbonfish supply is gone. I decide
to join Skipjack and anchor up for a bit and we get into some good eats..

While chumming, along comes a Frigate bird... very, very cool bird.
He would buzz the yaks and we would practically hand-feed the bird that was
pushing a 4-5' wingspan. He would also kick some Sea-Gull ass if they tried
stealing his food. This was an excellent opportunity to take a load of pics...
here are some of the better ones that came out...

We would get back to it and catch some more fish in the mix. Eventually
I end up getting a nice Gag from the yak. Pretty Cool.

We would duke it out for a bit longer and then head back in. It was
a successful day on the water in the yaks and if the groundswells weren't
so bad I'd imagine we would have gone back out the next day. Thanks to Crazy
Yak for the hospitality while they were there and having us join in on the
fun.
